Bath Trip |
|
 |
120
miles outside London is Bath, situated in the county of Somerset.
Best
known for it's Georgian classical architecture and it's development as
a Roman city 'Aquae Sullis'.
The
presence of hot springs and easily worked limestone made it attractive
to the Romans who built the original town which flourished for 400
years. |

Tour |

Lacock Abbey, built in the
13th Century and set in a picturesque village of old cottages with
tiled roofs. Apart from the cars that drive through the village, it
has changed little over over the years.
Stop for lunch in the
oldest pub in the village (The George Inn) dating back the the 14th
Century.
Well worth the visit.
You can either take an hour
going around the Abbey or spend time wondering around the village, your
choice. |
