was first built in AD 857 on two islands surround by a
lake. In 1119 the Normans rebuilt Leeds castle.
Leeds Castle is surrounded by
a large watered moat, which now a days is rare, as many moats are now
grassed over. |

views of Leeds Castle.
Along with touring the
medieval castle and gardens there are; aviaries, a maze, duckier,
vineyard, museum of dog collars, collection of furnishings, tapestries
and paintings.
