Windsor Castle

Windsor castle has been a royal palace for over 900 years, this being one of the Queens favourite palaces. She often stays here for pleasure as well as giving many state banquets in her role as Head Of State.

When visiting the castle you will be able to wonder around the State Apartments, and view the works of Rubens, Holbein, sculptures, tapestries and armour.

Along with visiting the castle you can take in St George's Chapel where the late Queen mother is resting, and is also the setting for many Royal Weddings the last being Duke & Duchess of Wessex.

MAGNA CARTA.

The American Bar Association memorial to Magna Carta, was erected in 1957. Surrounded by Old English Oak trees, this dome,  shelter and pillar with the inscription To Commemorate Magna Carta symbol of freedom under law.

The walk to get to this is gentle and peaceful through the meadows.

J. F KENNEDY MEMORIAL.

This Memorial Stone is set in an acre of green land given to the United States by Queen Elizabeth II in 1965 to commemorate the life of John F Kennedy. 

To get to the monument you have to climb a stone path of fifty steps one for each year of his life, which is quite steep, but well worth the view from the top.
