Within
this London taxi is an integrated fold down ramp, designed
with a shallow angle to allow the wheelchairs to slide into
the taxi and be securely locked into position. Along with
this, the wheelchair passenger is securely strapped in
by a 3 point safety belt. |

For those
of you that have reduced mobility, there is a swivel chair,
that allows you to sit down by the curb and be transferred
into the taxi without all the hassle and pain associated
with climbing in. |

Dear Carol,
A very belated but no less heartfelt thank you and to Gordon for making
the tour that my Russian friend, Aliona, and I had so very interesting
and enjoyable. He met us, right on time, at Paddington Station on
Saturday, 10th. September last and took us straight to Abbey Road, where
he enabled my friend to have her photo taken on the famous Zebra
crossing! She was delighted. He knew all the best spots for the best
photo opportunities and we now have a lot of wonderful pictures and
memories. His very capable handling of the wheelchair and its precious
contents were much appreciated. |

Gordon asked if one of the photos that I took could be used for your
publicity, and I have got Aliona’s permission for you to use the
attached picture. I think you would be hard put to it to find a more
attractive, disabled lady!!
Very many thanks
again,
Sincerely,
Raife Collett. September 2005 |
