It can be hard to believe that one is a few steps from the
hustle and bustle of Knightsbridge when standing outside the Grenadier Pub. There is
a strong association with the Duke of Wellington. The pub is said to be haunted
by the ghost of one of Wellingtons officers who was flogged to death, after
being caught cheating at cards.
