This gallery shows large
exhibitions from classical and contemporary art. Many of these exhibitions
are British.
The building itself has been the
subject of many discussions. Since it first opened in 1968, due to the
dreary grey concrete exterior, which gives off an unpleasant hard look.
Over the years many ideas have been put forward to revamp the gallery, but
as yet nothing has been done.

popping into, if on the Southbank.
