The London Eye, also known as the British Airways London Eye It is the world’s
largest ferris wheel. It is a staggering 135 metres high and takes around
twenty-five minutes to complete one revolution.
Standing on the river Thames, the London Eye gives an excellent view across
London. The 'pods' are all glass and hold fifteen people comfortably. Riding the
London Eye is so smooth that you can barely feel it moving. British Airways, the
Tussaud’s Group and London architects David Marks and Julia Barfield privately
funded the London Eye. |
