HISTORY OF SHIP.
This
warship was launched in 1938 and survived the D-Day Normandy landing and the
Korean War. In 1952 the ship was decommissioned. Today it sits beside Tower
Bridge as a Museum.

MUSEUM.
This warship is great for kids and adults, as the whole of the ship is open to
explore. From the bridge, to the engine rooms, and from the galley to the
operating theatre table. Exploring the ship can take some time and can be quite
hard work climbing up and down the narrow stairs. But it is well worth the visit
and the kids just love it. Off the deck you can have some great views. This is
the best place to take pictures of Tower Bridge.

STUART'S REPORT.
HMS Belfast
I like going on HMS Belfast, because even though the ship is a Museum they
have kept it as if it was still in use. When you arrive, pick up an activity
sheet which costs about 50p, this leads you around the ship. At Easter they were
doing a mouse hunt which gave you little clues and wasn’t that hard and a lot
of fun. If you complete the hunt you get a little gift at the end. I even got to
see Tower Bridge rise. |
