Opened in 1963,
originally in an annexe of Leighton House, Kensington. After merging with the
Victoria and Albert museum in 1971 they moved to Convent Garden in 1987.
This museum is devoted to the history of the theatre, with a grand collection of
costumes, along with the Edwardian theatre box.
You can take a
tour and see how the make up is applied and in the costume workshop you can try
on different outfits.
