LONDON
TRANSPORT
MUSEUM.
Closed until spring 2007 |
|
This museum represents nearly 200 years of transport within London. The museum
moved to Convent Garden in 1980, after it had been shut for a few years.
Within the museum there are old double-decker buses, horse drawn London buses,
steam trains and underground trains, as well as many pictures and paintings.
|
 |
|
Although the museum is small in can easily take a few hours to go round as there
is plenty to do for children and adults. The museum is truly hands on; you can
jump upon the buses and trains, ring the bells and take the controls of an
underground train in a simulation.
We think the
London Transport Museum is especially great for families as there are no 'do
not touch' signs. This enables parents to relax and watch their children
enjoy themselves.

LONDON FOR
KIDS
London
Transport Museum
The transport museum is great.
You are allowed to go on most of the old buses and trains. They go through the ages
from horses and cart to trams and then onto buses. You even get to go on a steam
engine, the seats are more comfortable then today's trains.
There is a quiz which is
suitable for under eight years old. This museum is worth a special family
visit.
