OUTSIDE LONDON WW2 TOUR

Pillbox set into Dover cliff side.

The first bomb to be dropped on England by an enemy aircraft, was in Dover. We are able to show you where this is, along with many other firsts.

On our Kent World War Tour, you will get to see the arrangements that were put in place to defend this country, during both world wars and before that the Napoleonic, but  of course we will be mainly looking at WWII locations.

We will visit Dover Castle, a fortified site from the 11th century, the underground hospital, war tunnels and their importance in the defence of the gateway to England. Dover Castle also played a major part in the Dunkirk evacuation. With it being the HQ for Operation Dynamo, it will be of prime interest.

You will be taken to pillboxes, sound mirrors and gun emplacements, we will visit an underground shelter, The Battle of Britain memorial and of course the White Cliffs.

A tearoom with a twist and a pub with a difference, along with a museum dedicated to WWII are also on our itinerary.
